The First Days of Spring (Noah and The Whale)

Noah and The Whale is an newcomer folk/alternative band formed in Twickenham, England in 2006. And lately I cant stop listening to their lastest album, The First Day of Spring, which I think got much more better melodies and lyrics than their previous album. I love all of the components of the album.

The frontman of the band, Charlie Fink had a relationship with Laura Marling, an Indie Folk singer (who compared to Regina Spektor). Laura marling also sang in one of Noah's album, Peaceful the World Lays me down.

By the end of their relationship, The Band released a completely emotional album, The First Days of Spring. which came with a film and much more different from Peaceful the World Lays Me Down. This album written about Laura. This album's full of slow and gorgeous song. The music is so simple, heartwarming and really grips at heart. And surprisingly, this album sits at #9 in the Sunday Times top 100 albums of 2009 and #32 in NME best 50 albums of 2009. My favourites are Slow Glass, My Door is always open, First Day of Spring and of course, Blue Skies. Thank you guys for making such a beautiful sound. :)

I didnt pass the entrance test of my dream university, I really wanted to be there since I was in elementary, but when the chance came to me, I was just let it pass. Okay, it was my fault, of course it was. I felt like got a big punch in the face. Then fed up with; 'just try harder' words I can't reckon if anything would be slighty better after this. I have no idea what to expect, I imagine It will be just rest and rest, I suppose. and sometimes I find it's hard to believe God has more beautiful plan than this.

Last nite i watched Belle and Sebastian Fans Only the dvd, which i brought about 2 years ago, suddenly the seventh track attracted my attention, what a beautiful song, lyric and video. I know the picture didnt fit the song. Emm Such a long time, I miss them a lot, the greatest scottish band ever :)

Holiday has arrived, rather confused what I want to do in the leisure time, but on reflection, finally I feel free, i don't give a shite about school things and all of those cheesy girls hahaha ;p

and, still, behind that, my mind had difficultly in quite recalling. Couldn't seem to totally piece together exactly what, or remotely why. But okay, I didn't stop or want to think anymore, it was all as plain as day.
